Book your place on a beautiful yacht and sail the crystal clear waters of the Aegean. The emphasis on the Cabin Charter is fun, and visiting the intriguing and culturally rich islands of Greece. You will be meeting a group of people that share the same interests in exploring and sailing new adventures.
The itinerary is not fixed, the sailing will be in the Saronic & Cyclades group of islands, the final itinerary determined by the weather and interests of the group. The Captain will consider all the options and set the final course and will sail not more than 4 hour a day on average.
Sailing the Greek Islands
There is no sailing in the world like sailing the Greek Islands. A true adventure that will bring together the peak excitement and tranquillity of sailing plus the spectacular sites and sounds of an ancient civilization combined with the spirited zest for life of the Greek people. The clearly defined coastlines of the islands, whose colors vary from emerald and turquoise to a deep indigo blue, are breathtaking. Greek architecture, influenced by thousands of years of history and neighboring cultures, is seen in the marvelous island buildings & homes, set on the waters edge or atop steep hills and mountain cliffs. With every island we visit, you will be overwhelmed with ancient temples and cities whose designs are still marveled today.
Part of the fun of sailing the Greek Islands is to enjoy the delicious variety of the Greek cuisine enthusiastically prepared at the islands' tavernas where you can join in the spirited and festive Greek ethnic dances. These are likely to erupt spontaneously at any time or as part of a festival celebrating the name day of a saint. Below are listed some of the islands we plan to visit, as our guests' interest and weather allow.
CYCLADES ISLANDS
These islands are best known for their history dating back to the bronze age, but they also offer unspoiled beaches, entertainment, and spectacular views from the sea and villages which are usually set on the highest elevations of the island. Our charter may visit the islands Kea, Siros, Paros, Serifos, Kithnos, and others. Our course will be adjusted to weather and winds and the interests of our sailors.
SARONIC ISLANDS
The history of the Saronic islands is inextricably bound up with the Sea. Our course will be guided by the wind and at a relaxing pace, which is exactly why your love of sailing brings you to Greece. Some islands we may set sail for include Epidavros, Aigina, Poros ,Hydra, Spetses, and others.
SAILING PLAN
We plan to sail in the island groups of the Cyclades or the Saronic as the winds allow. The sailing time between islands is normally 3 to 4 hours a day allowing time for stops at some of the most tranquil, and picturesque coves in the world.
We begin our day with breakfast prepared by our on board gourmet chef. Everything stowed the yacht sails off to one destination after the other as we take you to the beautiful islands of the Aegean. The selection of islands we sail depends upon the winds , the preferences of the charterers and ,of course, with many suggestions from the captain.
Take an active roll sailing or just relax and enjoy the camaraderie of old and new friends. The yachts have abundant space both above and below decks for relaxing and enjoying the company of your crew mates.
The sailing schedule for the Cabin Charter is a seven day charter beginning on Saturday afternoon and ending the following Saturday morning at 09:00 . Each day, the plan is to sail 3 to 4 hours between islands so there is plenty of time to stop for a swim and snorkeling, lunch and to leave enough time at the end of the day to see the sights. The boat will plan to arrive at the day's destination island by 4 or 5 o'clock in the afternoon on each day. At the beginning of each day, the skipper will review the day's plan.
